That sounded wrong, so I googled it. Turns out that this e-mail went out four years ago:

States won by Gore: 19
States won by Bush: 29

Average Murder per 100,000 residents in counties won by Bush: 2.1

You might notice that the names are changed, but the numbers are exactly the same. Wow, what are the odds of that?
