-I don't know if this video is real or set up, but what is real is that Ford recalled thousands of trucks because they are shooting flames out the tailpipe. This video claims to be an example of it. I want to know what the odd ticking sound is. Yes, the truck is a diesel, but it is not that. Anyhow, here's the vid.

Saturday.

-Ranger Rick came over today and helped us figure out what we are going to plant around the house. We went shopping and got a table and chairs for the patio. Those are nice and we will enjoy sitting back there looking over the pond. Found some low voltage lights at Menard's discounted down to $40 for 8 of them. Gotta love that.

-I went to Matt Hotch's website to see what he has been up to. I have not been there for a long time (almost a year). The site is very nice, but a year ago it was really impressive. He has a new bike there called the Vincent. Pretty bad ass looking bike. The brake disks are attached to the wheels instead of the hub. I guess Ranger Rick's Beul has the same setup. The other bike on Hotch's website has the disk mounted on the drive gear on the gearbox so that the back wheel is clean. Kind of a cool setup also.

Closed on the house today. It was not the happy day I had hoped for, but I am glad it is done and we can get on with it now.

So I was thinking alot about the1984 spoof for Obama that has gone viral. Then today it came out who made it. After reading the article it kind of confirms what I was thinking. That the power is shifting now away from the main-stream political machine. I think that was the point he was making in that ad.
But there is also another really big issue here. It also raises accountability issues on how campaigns are run. They said in the article that some organizations are looking to hire him because he made a commercial with such impact, but he could have never done that if he worked for them. So who is to say that some party won't hire some geek under the table to make internet "user" ad's. No rules. No copyright infringement. No accountability. "they" are just expressing their opinions. So far over 2 million people have watched it on YouTube alone.
Stay tuned. I think this is going to be big.

OH HELL NO! School in MI bans students from having MySpace accounts. They say that 99.9% if parents support the move. If that is so, then here is another headline: 99.9% of parents in MICHIGAN SUCK ASS! Why would you wait for a school to tell your kids not to do something that you consider bad? Not to mention the fact that where does the school get off telling them what they can do at home.

I spent the day working on the other house. They are going to inspect it tomorrow. I had to take care of a few things before they did. That wound up taking up all day, but it is done.

I don't usually get into the politics thing, but the news is on and they are talking about the illegal aliens getting in-state tuition. WTF? One arugement is that we have already given them a high school education, so why would we leave them in a dead end sitiation and not help them go to college? We did not give that to them. They stole it. Somebody steals your car so you might as well give them your house too? And they say that the country will be better off if they are educated. Where does this money come from? They make it sound like funds are unlimited. No. There is not enough money to help the kids whose parents paid taxes in the state all their lives. Any money that is given to them is being taken away from OUR children. Or raising the price of school for kids whose parents (like me) are just dumb ass white middle class working fools that pay the taxes but can't get any help sending OUR kids to school. Yea, it makes me mad.
Okay, enough of that.
-I am not sure where these numbers come from, but it this is interesting.

I got up and it was about 60 degrees out and not too windy. So I decided to take the r/c plane out. I won a wireless video camera on the internet a while back and mounted it on top of the plane. Have not gotten to use it yet though. So I went out and got everything hooked up. I have to hook up the receiver to a camcorder and hook up all the batteries. I was afraid that I would forget to check the trim on the plane or something stupid like that since I was worrying about the video. I flew the plane and made a really ugly landing. But when I checked the video, I had forgotten to take it off of pause so I got nothing. DOH! Now it is too windy to go out.
I really messed up my back anyway. Must have turned weird or something, but I am in a lot of pain and really don't see doing much on this most magnificant day. What a waste.
Here is my plan for our world domination. Instead of sending our children over seas to kill these people why don't we just give them all cars and let them do it themselves. Much cheaper and safer for our guys. (and gals)


-HOLY CRAP! I watched this video of a kid flying an r/c chopper. After he takes off i was like, "oh, this is not good". He is all over the place usually inverted. Just amazing. And in the end I am pretty sure he ran it out of gas and auto-rotated down to the ground inverted (no more smoke out of engine) and then flipped it at the end. Not the softest landing but still damn amazing.

It is not as much as I would have liked, and certainly not what it is worth, but we took an offer today. We had 2 families that wanted to see it again today. That is ideal. What is NOT ideal is having 2 squad cars out front of your house arresting somebody when family #2 comes to look again. Figures.
I don't feel great about it, but it will be done and that is worth a lot. It will be nice to know where we are financially and to sleep at night.
So on we go.

The only thing better....

The only thing better than having a blade on your truck is having a good neighbor that has one :-) I was out working on the dirveway today. There was a huge drift across it and i took the blower to it and then a shovel to work where the truck tracks were. At the bottom was a huge ass ice damn that was going to be a bioitch to break up. My neighbor Scott backed his Ram truck out and ran the blade across it and it was done that quickly. Damn that is nice.
We did not have all that much snow, but the wind was amazing and pushed everything all over the place. I think we are done now.

Here is the best USB powered office toy I have seen. I just wish they showed the interface on the computer that controls it. Great stuff.
