FRIDAY!!

-Here is a list of lines from Star Wars that would be improved by replacing one word with the word "pants". Some are pretty funny.

-Here is a list of why Jack Bauer is much cooler then you will ever be.

-Fark had a story about a congressman introducing a bill to make marijuana legal. That would be Congressman Charles Weed. Too funny.

-Fark also had this story of some guys stealing some GPS tracking units from the city. How would they ever find them?

-Here is a pretty cool site I stumbled upon today chasing a link to something else.

just because you can...

-Just because you can put a small block chevy into a 944, does NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD!

-Here is a study in how NOT to drive on ice. The first guy in the video is the teacher. WTF is this guy doing? I counted 10 things he hit.

Zune design meeting notes

This is an actual tele-conference between Bill Gates and the engineers heading up the design of the new Zune. Or else I just made this up and thought it was funny.

Bill Gates: I want you to make an iPod killer

engineer #1 But we are Microsoft. We don't know how to make anything. We don't even know what color to make it.

Bill Gates: Just do what we always do. Copy what Apple has already made. Use the same 2 colors as the iPod. Black and White. But add a third color too. NOW GET BUSY!

*click*

engineer #1: What did he say?

engineer #2: I think he said, "make a turd color too".

the rest is history.

FRIDAY!!

*whoot*
-Hope you all have a good weekend. Here is a bad photo of a really stupid car here in town. It is a Ford Probe. It has cheezy wheel covers on it, and although you can't see it there are cheezy Japanese letters stuck on it. But what really sets this car off is the addition of a second J.C. Whitney bolt on wing. Man the down force must just be amazing. But you need that when you have a rice.. I mean race car like that.

Wed.

-I have to agree with free standing Stove and that the wheels on the Paulie's Foose 'stang are too big. I really like the work he does and admire his skills, but have felt that way about many of his cars. He is one of the most respected car guys of our times, and I am not sure why he feels he needs to follow tire fads. He should be making cars that will be classy next year and in years to come. He should be setting the trends instead of following them.
-I read today that the CEO of Home Depot was doing a crappy job, so they agreed to pay him $210 million dollars to quit. I do a crappy job all the time and nobody offers me millions. What am I doing wrong?

Back to work!

-So Apple is getting sued since.. well.. let's just say they have a LOT of money. I love this one: one alleging the company created an illegal monopoly by tying iTunes music and video sales to its market-leading iPod portable players.
So don't friggin buy an iPod. Dumb asses like that should be out buying a Zune anyway. That way they can only play songs from Microsoft. If they want to sue somebody, sue Microsoft for telling them to buy napster songs and then not supporting their on the .mpturd
-I watched a lot of the Barrett-Jackson auctions last night. Muscle cars=big dollars. One hemi cuda went for $2 million. The coolest by far was the GM Futureliner. The guy was hoping for $600,000. He wound up getting $4,000,000. HOLY COW. That thing is so cool thought.
I see that a Foose Eleanor 'stang that belongs to Paul Jr. (a.k.a Paulie) will be up for sale. I am going to try to pick that one up. Yea right.

-So lemme ask you this: If our other house is totally dark all the time, has the hot water heater shut off, and the thermostat is set to 50 degrees (keep in mind it has been about 50 outside most of the time) then why in the HELL do we have a $90 electric and gas bill? I am not sure what it normally was over there, but I would think about double that. But that was with the heat on, three or four computers on all the time, at least 2 TV's on all the time, hot water for all the clothes and showers and stuff, and running the stove. Not to mention all the lights that were on all over that house all the time. Seems like it should have gone down a lot more then 1/2 when we left.
