We lost a good friend today. Bentley suddenly came down with some nasty disease. I don't know the name of it. All I know is he is gone from our lives and we miss him a lot.
I really did not want to get a dog, but he grew on me. As he grew up he proved to be a really smart dog and a good friend. He left paw prints in the snow on the decks. As we watched them melt away last night it really started to hit me that he is gone.

Awww...that stinks. He looks like he was a good doggie.
The Scottie that we had ate some of that bad dog food that was going around and lost liver and kidney functions. We had to put her down last year.
We got a new pup last October and she's a sweetie. Yep, a good dog is the best friend you can have in the world. When I was sick last week, the dog knew it and stayed by my side the whole week, making sure I was ok.
